This Dominican Republic Farmhouse has been a work in progress since 1992.
The tropical garden with cacao, coffee, and exotic fruit trees surround the 3 houses which are located on the property. A small country estate in the verdant hills behind the Amber Cove district of the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. With quiet and luxurious rooms at the forest’s edge, the main house is a colorful work of art, and the three-bedroom garden house, standing on its own grounds, shares a similar design concept. It is all about open-air and fitting in with nature. The reflecting pool, about 300 yards from the house has its own barbecue and bar and is surrounded by trees and flowering plants. A paradise for nature lovers!
There are approx. 600 Cacao bushes in their first and second year of production and 80 Coffee trees which will start to produce next year (2019). 500 Pineapples and approx. 45 other varieties of fruit and spice tree.
The Dominican Republic farmhouse itself features a main house with a kitchen, a dining room, a double sitting room, a study area, a guest bathroom, 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (Upstairs), 1 double bedroom ensuite bathroom (ground floor), and 1 bunk room with ensuite bathroom.
The garden house has a kitchen, a dining room, a terrace, a sitting room, 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (ground floor), 1 single bedroom with ensuite bathroom, 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (Up spiral staircase).
Each house has its own inverter with batteries, hot and cold water throughout the whole house, 2 outside sitting/eating areas, pergola and arbor, and private parking.
The swimming pool, the barbecue, the local cooking set-up, and the bar is beautifully situated in the jungle garden. The covered area can seat approx. 30 people.
The cottage for the gardeners has 1 double bedroom, 1 single room, a sitting room, bathroom, terrace, electricity and running water.
The Dominican Republic farmhouse is a successfully run rental business.
